Mild Lactic Acid Superficial Peeling Solution

Lactic Acid, an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), gently exfoliates the skin. This 5% formulation provides very mild exfoliation and is enhanced with a purified Tasmanian Pepperberry extract, known for helping to reduce inflammation and sensitivity often associated with exfoliation. For those seeking a stronger option, a 10% concentration is also available.

The Tasmanian Pepperberry derivative used in this formula is plant-derived and may vary in color depending on seasonal changes, which can occasionally result in slight color differences in the product.

Contraindications:
Lactic Acid should not be applied to sensitive, peeling, or compromised skin. Please review the additional sun protection guidance and other warnings included in the Directions.

The pH of this formula is approximately 3.8, matching the pKa value of Lactic Acid. Maintaining this balance between acidity and salt content maximizes exfoliation effectiveness while minimizing potential irritation. Formulas with a higher pH would paradoxically be more irritating, despite being less acidic.

Note:
While Lactic Acid can deliver noticeable benefits quickly, we generally recommend indirect forms of exfoliation over direct acid use to help minimize inflammation and sensitivity risks.

How to Use:

• Apply once daily, ideally in the evening.

• If desired, dilute with other treatments to reduce strength until your skin builds tolerance.

• Avoid contact with the eyes. If irritation occurs and persists, discontinue use and consult a physician.

This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase sun sensitivity and the risk of sunburn. Always use sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for one week afterward.
